Laraku

Yippy! There's only two more days before Project Work is OVER! Yes! Hahaha. I'm going cuckoo thinking about how happy I'll be. Actually, I sincerely doubt I'll be the only one. I suppose it will be something like during 'O' Levels; we all cheered after our last paper and tore our Entry Proof into little bits. I don't think we'll tear the entry proof proper, but the cheering - that I'm sure of... the moment we are out of hearing of the examiners. Sighx. Just thinking of Thursday makes me happy.

Discovered that L'Arc-en~Ciel, I shall call them Laraku from now on, is one of the most popular and famous Japanese bands. Although they are a bit old. Imagine, even CD-Rama has their album. It goes to show what hot property they were. No, are. Watched a few of their interviews online. HYDE is quite obviously shorter than the other members. Oh well, that does not detract from his presence and singing prowess, just that they always make him stand more to the front, or the others slouch a little... He uses his smoothering eyes to the full extent, and he really really likes the microphone. I want to be the microphone. HYDE also seems to change his hairstyle evrytime they have a new single/album. That's like... a LOT of hairstyles. I'm not sure which is my favourite. Long hair? Short hair? All I know is that it depends on the angle to decide if he is hot or not. Oh well. HYDE will always be cool no matter what he looks like simply beacause his voice is so superb. How many people do you know can sing like him? Loads of conventional artists nowadays are lip-synching away, banking on their looks... at least Laraku is more or less based on their fanbase from their Visual Kei days or because they are such a great band. Oh. By the way, I like his hairstyle in Daybreak's Bell. Yup. Hot clothes and nice teeth too. The AWAKE and Seventh Heaven look is a bit... too provacative for... conservative society in Singapore. Yup. Hee.

Oh. Kaen is still grounded. Why am I not surprised? Argh. I want to call her and scream at her about HYDE. Really hard to stop myself from getting her into deeper trouble. Oh. Sighx.

After

Kaen is currently suffering. I know, I know, I'm really heartless. My buddy is like without television, internet, anime, manga, telephone calls, not allowed to go out... In other words, she's completely grounded. Yet, here I am. Sighx. What do you want me to do? I'm sorry that there's something wrong with my handphone so that it keeps dying on me. I'm sorry that I can't ride to your rescue. Truly I am. I want to go save you from your parents, but I actually feel that your parents are justified in grounding you. Yep. That's whats its called: being grounded. I've been grounded before, its usually related to lousy grades and results in the loss of freedom and other fringe benefits. I would have either been killed by my parents, or I would have committed suicide first if I had performed as such for Promotional Exams. Serious. So I think your parents are actually within the limits of parental behaviour. Why not use this opportunity to study? Write a few economics essays, practice Math, study volcanoes... I mean, its a win-win situation. You revise, while your parents are happy because they get the desired result of you mugging. So relax, don't do anything silly. Think. Plan ahead, so that we can go play later. Desshou?

Hmm. The 'A 'Level H1 Chinese paper was more difficult than expected. I know that there is an increased emphasis on analysis as well as inference skills, however, its rather absurd to expect students to write a full page mock-essay for 4 measly marks. Its getting rather ridiculous. The worst part is the multiple choice questions. Its more like 30 marks of vocabulary, idioms, famous sayings, historical references... and loads of other elements of the Chinese language which I am unable to elaborate on in the English language. After all, English and Chinese has different language structures and grammar. Oh well. What done is done.

OMG. I nearly forgot! Danhong lent me 4 L'Arc-en~Ciel CDs! Two are compilations, with another two being their albums Smile and Awake respectively. HYDE has this absolutely amazing voice. And his eyes are like... electrifying! Its official! L'Arc-en~Ciel is my favourite band! Well, for this yaer at least. Linkin Park used to be number one, but I realised that I prefered their previous few albums. Minutes to Midnight w
as nice, but its not the kind of album that I could scream and go crazy over. Its simply not the type. Oh well. Not my fault. It just doesn't really appeal to me. Well. I shall go enjoy my new CDs...

Stupid

Do you know what it takes to make me upset? Kaen could tell you I suppose, but for the poor souls who don't know her, it takes quite a force of will and nature. Kaen would know, as I have been angry, disappointed, upset, furious and pissed with her before. And no, it is not one emotion per year. Its more like all mixed together for all the years. This year has been on the low side, as we are no longer in the same school. Sad isn't it? Anyhow, this shall not be about her. It shall be on the lateset piece of vermin to infuriate Yukino. Namely, MIO TV.

Ah. Those in Singapore would have heard of it. Unless of course, you have been residing under a boulder in a well covered by boulders which has been buried by lahars from a nearby volcano. I hope I confused you. I'm in a Let's-torture-the-poor-innocent-reader-of-my-blog mood. MIO TV can only be described as such:

Mio TV is a ridiculous, useless piece of hardware, restrictive to the extent that it makes wireless useless in your house.

Why? Well, the fools at SingTel came up with a device which prevents
you from watching the streamed channels and using the Internet at the same time. Neither can you use the home phone while watching the streamed channels. I suddenly feel like a dinosaur in the 21st century. The technology is that backwater. Next, they shall harness horses to cars. Dear God! It is soooo absolutely stupid. I ought to disconnect the stupid thing, and I would, but it also cuts of the telephone and Internet. So all communication with the outside world is stuck on ONE dumb piece of hardware which can't be turned off. If there was an earthquake which snaps underwater Internet telephone cables again, my home is so doomed. They changed my perfect, functioning analog phone line to a digital line. Help. I should have screamed bloody murder when my parents suggested installing MIO TV. I ought to have thrown the installation personnel out of the house, or never had opened the door to let him in. Now I'm suffering. As if PW isn't enough to make a sweet little girl turn vicious, MIO TV made me a viciously irritated person. Oh well.

I hereby resolve to NEVER invent or promote something as pointless, wasteful and MIO-ish as MIO.

Disorder

I took a personality disorder test today and discovered that I'm quite... disorder free. Yup. In fact, if you look at the data, I appear to be less disorder-ed than the avarage person. Cool huh? Its below:

Well, a picture speaks a thousand words. My narcisstic tendencies are like, pretty low. So unlike Atobe. Haha. I know. I know. Realised that I'm not as weird as I thought...

Enough of the fun and games. I'm sick and t
ired of people who make demands of others without considering their situation. They can jolly well just GO and jump down some cliff or the top of a tall building. I'm serious. I wasn't born yesterday, so I now that you are insulting me. I know that you aren't too impressed with me. So what? Lived on this bloody planet for so long and yet still unable to prevent others from knowing about your distaste? What a failure. Human trash. I'm more diplomatic than you! And I'm what? Half your age? Well, unless I'm being Tyki... Go away. And don't be ridiculous. Like I said, I'm definitely not stupid. I smile, nodd and agree with whatever you say, but that doesn't mean that I'm going to carry it out. Hah.

I have joyful news to share. No. PW has not been cancelled
. It is not Judgement Day tomorrow. It something really simple. I managed to take a really hot picture of HYDE with my handphone's camera, and I set that as my phone's wallpaper. So now I'm staring at his gorgeous profile everytime I unlock and lock my handphone. Bliss. Will put it up below for all those without it to enjoy. Go crazy my dears...

Lulu

Oh man. I'm so sick of PW that I swear that I will burn ALL my PW related documents and notes after 1st November. Serious. I will then proceed to dance round the burning pile, singing / screaming "Burn! Burn! Burn!", before going to Orchard Road and singing Charm point as a Christmas carol. Kurei and Atobe can join me. And no, I'm completely rational. Well, as rational as someone who has just spent the last 10 plus hours centered on PW, and have completed their oral presentation can be. Oh. Did I just mention that I'm also doing my InR, Insights and Reflection now? Ah. Insanity makes things seem rational. Oops. You didn't read anything. Nothing. At. All. In essence, PW totally stinks.

Songs. GOOD I love iTunes. Well, strictly speaking, I love my playlist. Its simply amazing. I have 341 songs, of which 96 percent are animeanime songs. Cool right? I bet you can't say the same thing
of the typical Chinese/English pop/rock loving teenager. Hah. So what if you say that I'm abandoning my own culture? I like music. NOT noise. Music is stuff like あなたのために by L'Arc-en~Ciel, Insight by Suwabe Junichi, the Four Seasons... Not blathering pumped up, squashed down plastic 'celebrities' with a microphone. Those make noise. Noise ought to be cancelled. Removed. Not celebrated. Birthdays are celebrated, not pollutants. So there. Oh. A meek reminder. My birthday is on the 24th of November. I will appreciate presents. Thoughtful presents. Not random books and soft toys. Lost? Fear not. I'll put up a wishlist soon. So even if you miss my birthday, there will still be Christmas a month later...

Watched a Japanese movie for Chinese today. So ironic. A Level Chinese, yet we prepare by watching a Ja
panese movie, with ENGLISH subtitles. So amazing. Oh, There was this male actor who spoke loads of Kansai-ben, had off-shoulder hair, wore spectacles... Sounds familiar? Well, he did look a bit like Oshitari, although an older version who doesn't play tennis and there isn't a Gakuto. Sigh. PW ruined it as I had to go for a meeting. I damn bloody hate PW. When I die, I'm gonna haunt the idiot who thought of it. Oh wait. The person ought to be dead by then. Oh well. Hope he or she for that matter, dies a slow, agonising, poisonous death. Yup. Just desserts I say.

Blood

AHHH! Dante is seriously cool! The enormous sword, the hot pants, the coat, snooker, the voice, spilling blood all over... OMG. One word. Delicious. Like his strawberry sundae! Haha. Someone commented that I sound like I'm some kind of sick, closet dominatrix because I often comment on how delectable certain anime characters are. That's so untrue! I mean, they are really tasty-looking... but I'm so not a closet dominatrix! Absolutely not! Oh wait. I just realised that there is no way that anyone can ever know if they have certain 'closet' characteristics as these are called closet characteristics as the person is unaware of such tendencies, so I cannot say that I'm not a closet dominatrix because my conscious self will never be able to perceive my subconscious self. Am I confusing you? I am? Good.

Donated blood today. I honestly have to say that it hurt LESS then the stupid $60 ear piercings I did at B*dazzled last Thursday, both my wallet and my body. Honest. Hmm. The blood looked really dark, red, and viscous. Like some kind of volcanic magma or something. Oh! And it was really warm! As in when the blood flowed, in the tube of course, into the bag, the tube, which was hung over my wrist, was warm! Wow. Humans are amazing, and so are they other ten thousand different warm -blooded animals on this planet. My classmates kept asking about whether it hurt, for the hundredth time, it didn't, whether it was uncomfortable... All I can say is that the experience is one of the most, surprisingly, positive experiences ever. It ranks somewhere with watching Atobe snap his hands, listening to L'Arc-en~ciel and watching Dante strut around. Honest. Donating blood is actually... pleasurable. Truly. I will gladly do it again. In a way, I feel... clean. Yup. So strange. Like a donation made me feel cleaner, purged? I'm not sure though.

Watching Devil May Cry now. Its pretty fast- paced. Music rocks, along with the animation. Not one of those shoujo
anime, with lots of mysteries and murder. Oh wait. Since he is killing demons, I suppose I could call it a baptism instead... I suppose that will indeed be more accurate. Haha. I'm only at episode two though. So sad. I want to watch more, now. Suppose to read D Gray- Man as research, but... Sighx. Dante is way more attractive than the Millenium Earl.

Shall leave...

Cheat

I feel cheated. Really. I bought a black Gothic shirt today. Shouldn't have. It's all Kaen's fault. She was the one who forced me to purchase it. I wasted money on a shirt I will most probably only wear once in my lifetime. twice if some minor miracle occurs. Ouch. I can feel the two little piggys on my wallet squealing in pain, furious at how I betrayed their trust. Damn. The D. Gray costume maker recommended wants to charge me an exorbitant $80 for the coat. $80! That is super expensive! It's practically daylight robbery! The same way that the black $80 Gothic shirt Kaen made me buy today is also a form of daylight robbery! I mean, if the costume maker had quoted me $60, I would have willingly handed the money over to her. $80 is simply too much. I'm beginning to think that cosplay is an expensive hobby. I scrimp and save the entire year, all to blow it on costumes which I will never wear again. This is on top of the lack of wardrobe space that I'm plagued with. Seriously considering quitting cosplay. No point lowering my standard of living for a three day activity that leaves me drooling and thirsting for more. I'm not rich and I'm definitely not stupid. So I guess 2009 will be my last cosplay outing. Stop screaming Kaen, and don't glare at me.

On a lighter note, I WANT L'ARC-EN~CIEL'S CD! I want their songs... Hyde sounds so absolutely nice and yummy. I envy his wife and child. Imagine. On your birthday, your dad actually sings the 'Happy Birthday' song IN TUNE. Wow. Thats so amazing. HYDE! HYDE! Everyone should watch MoonChild. I mean, its a pretty good movie to introduce you to blood, gore, violence, smoking, friendship, love, death... and of course, HYDE and Gackt. Below is an absolutely HOT picture of L'Arc-en~ciel! Its so cool... The boys are all so hot... Smothering... Yummy.

I actually have nothing else to say, so... Bye Bye!

Irritant

I detest Project Work. Completely. Utterly. From the bottom of my heart. Oh, I know. Dad told me that to be good at presentations, you have to actually like what you are presenting, otherwise your anger and lack of regard will spill through to the audience. Effectively rendering your presentation a failure. Dad should know, I mean, he isn't where he is today because he is lacking in brain cells and experience. Yet, I can't help but feel that he doesn't know how well I'm able to lie. Sometimes, I lie so well that I actually manage to convince myself as well. Amazing ability I picked up in the rough and tumble world I think I wasn't suppose to be exposed to. Oh well, like I told Vivien today, nothing that makes you a more capable person can be truly evil or bad. Back to the point, I somehow manage to trick myself into loving Project Work when I'm doing a presentation. However, the moment I go back to my seat, the hatred, disgust and unease sweeps over me again. Urgh. Project Work is simply the bane of JC1 existence. I heard that there are actually people who choose to go to a polytechnic because they refuse to be subject to the torment of Project Work. I'm jealous. Okay, just this teeny bit.

To the topic of Vivien, I guess, I'll just say one thing. It will all work out in the end. I mean, if it doesn't work out, you'd be dead, which makes it a sort of resolution as well, so... Everything will be okay. Human existence is but a measly 100 years (if you get lucky, oh, wait, or is it unlucky?), yet we make such a big fuss over such little inconsequential things. I mean, one day we will all be no more, and that special one day isn't too long away either. So no point squeaking and squealing, worrying and fretting, everything will untangle by itself. It has to, because none of us can exist forever. Uh-oh. I gave a decidedly morose and macabre take to something quite simple and... enjoyable? Oh well.

I'd thought of a Road fanfic/ doujin idea and told Kaen already, yet she has yet to start drawing. I asked Kaen for her favourite Kanda X ? pair yet she refuses to tell me. HELLO? I thought you were the one who wanted me to come up with the story for you to draw? Well, I'm doing my job, yet you're not... So buck
up! I want to read the doujin! Hmm. You have also yet to think of a suitable name... Sorry. I'm pissed, so I'm halfway flaming you. So sorry. Wait. I'm not that sorry. Just a little bit. Nagging you seems to be part of my job as a friend. Oh wait. Did someone say that I'm a old mother hen before? I think so, but I really can't remember. The word just popped into my head, and I can't remove the picture. Sheesh. Do I seriously sound that old? Or am I truly such a nag?

I hate Project Work. I bet Hyoutei has no such rubbish. I can't even try to picture Atobe and the rest of the regulars doing some stupid research on some Groundbreaker in order to propose an imaginary event. Although I suppose some of the fangirls, or even Atobe himself, will consider him a groundbreaker. Oh, and rightfully so. Who else exemplifies the idea of a hard-working diva other than Atobe Keigo? He's smart, brilliant, but not a genius, a freak. He's talented, gifted, but he works out at his family gym and trains despite his obvious athletic superiority. In other words, my ultimate idol! Hahahaha. Okay. See? Too much project work is bad for health, mental health especially. Shall leave now.

Clogwheel

Damn! I missed Tezuka's birthday! So sorry! So sorry! Was at Sheryan's trying to rescue the stupid Written Report, was simply exhausted, mentally from the awful touching up, physically from the extremely long bus ride home on service 64, so I was in no mood to blog, much less remember Tezuka's birthday. So sorry! Will think of you more often this week! So sorry!... Why am I apologising in my blog to a fictional character? Hmm...

Man is L'Arc-en~ciel plague by problems. I went online to check out their history, and was stunned when I learned that they had an entire host of problems when they were starting out, and even when they started to peak. Sad. Such talent, wasted because of superficial things. If not for Kaen and her obsession with Ryoma from Prince Of Tennis, which led to her craze over Kanata Hongo, which brought me to Moon Child and Hyde and L'Arc-en~ciel, I suppose I would most probably had never had an ounce of inte
rest in the band. Which is really, really upsetting. Shocking. Hyde! Oh! Oh! I found out that Fourth Avenue Cafe, from Ruroni Kenshin, is actually one of their songs! I mean, I listened to it a long long time ago and really loved it, but that was in the days before I learnt how to read the credits. Oh gosh. I want that song... Someone send me Fourth Avenue Cafe? Pretty please?

Project Work is in the final phase, YES! I'm so happy I can go to Orchard singing Atobe's Charm Point all the way. Honest. We have submitted the improved Written Report, I hope its considered much improved, finished the skeleton of our Oral Presentation, as well as designed both the bras! Yippy! Haha. Three consecutive days of Project Work has surely paid off! Yay! Now all's that left is to wait for comments from our tutor... Argh.

I'm scared. Serious. Afraid I can't keep my combination. Afraid the
cosplay outing flops and dies. Afraid I'll never be able to really have fun again... Boundless fear. Is life always to dismal? Always to worry, to plan and anticipate all these negative things? Sighx. I stilll stick to my conviction that human existence is a HUGE joke. Never satisfied, always wanting the new while refusing to change, to give up the old. Contrdiction in the greatest degree, of the most prominent extent. Humans are fools. Yet... As Tyki has so aptly phrased it, having both sides is what make things interesting. Dang. The never-ending cycle.

Cake

Happy Birthday Atobe! Haha. Been watching Prince Of Tennis on Veoh and reading fanfiction the entire morning. Haha. Atobe is amazing. He was supposed to serve first in his match against Ryoma in the summer camp, but he didn't want to go first, so he just casually told Ryoma to serve. Obviously, Oishi, who was the empire, was all I-thought-the-rule-was-that-Hyotei-would-serve-first... Only to have Atobe tell him " Kankenei. Ore-wa no rule". OMG. That is so Atobe. And his servants are like... Do they follow him everywhere? They open the tennis court doors for him, bring portable table, chairs, umbrellas, orange juice, they take off his jacket when he wants to play... Although I seriously wouldn't mind being one of them. To be next to his glorious presence the entire day would be damn cool, I envy the Hyotei regulars... Hmm. I wonder if any of them are in the same class as him? Or are they in the tutorial system? Hmm.

Will be watching Lee Ang's Lust, Caution later with Huifang and Clare... Oh man, I hope its good. I'm quite broke, and I hav e to buy Cosplay stuff as well as new clothes, so I don't want to waste money. Sighx. I wish I had more money, so I wouldn't have to scrimp and save and think of ways to save money... Too bad I'm not rich like Atobe. Although it seems as if even if I was, I would have no real life to speak of. I mean, who plays tennis everyday? As in every single day? And they are not doing it for a living... That simply reeks of a lack of pursuits. Okay, you can say that the characters are really determined, really focused, yadda yadda yadda, but come on, admit it, they are portrayed to be obssessed with the sport. The saving grace happens to be that I enjoy watching Atobe, regard
less of what he is doing, be it in lounging in his chair, singing Tezuka's welcome song or playing tennis. All hot. Haha.

Okay, I shall go back to my TV watching. Ja ne...

Celebrate

My Promotional Exams Are Over! Haha. Currently celebrating... by reading the manga until the Doubles 2 match of Rikkaidai versus Seigaku in the National Finals, by watching Atobe's match against Echizen in Nationals, Atobe - Sanada pair against the American team again... The music is amazing... JunJun's voice is simply AMAZING! The texture is unbelievable! Its so... hot. Yummy, delicious, gorgeous. Yup. Thats what it feels like. And when Atobe and Sanada glared at the American Team when they couldn't return the ball... That pissed look of Atobe is so hot! And when he goes all " Ore-sama no bigi ni yoi ya!". I totally adore his Tannhauser Serve. Its so absolutely... Atobe. Sighx. I love Atobe... But... HE PILOTS A HELICOPTER! I mean, isn't he supposed to be what? 15? You can't even register to learn to DRIVE if you are under 18... Yet... Sighx. Rich people. Get his pilot license before driving license. God. I'm completely taken by his amazing prowess, attitude... again. Oh, and Atobe's English is good. Well, better than Sanada's. And he understands everything that Echizen spouts. So lets see, English, Japanese, German, Greek... Umm. The first word that came to mind was "high-class", after all, most people do not have this combination of language proficiency. Ahh... Atobe-sama.

In the Prince Of Tennis world, I noticed quite a few relatives, but it seems they are all in different schools. There's Fuji Syusuke and Fuji Yuuta, the most famous brothers in Prince Of Tennis, from Seigaku and St. Rudolph, then there are the Ishida brothers, both Hardorkyu specialists, one from Fudomine and the other in Shitenhouji, the Kisarazu twins who both play doubles, one from St. Rudolph and the other in Rokkakchu, and finally the Oshitari cousins, Oshitari Yuushi in Hyotei and Oshitari Kenji in Shitenhouji. What I don't understand is how the Ishida brothers are separated, one in Kantou and the other from... Kyuushu. At least the Oshitari-s are cousins, so maybe they moved away from Kansai and relocated all over. Hmm. Not sure. I would love to have a school with both brothers in one team, regardless of what type of player they are. It would be really awesome. Oh. Then both Chitose and Tachibana have younger sisters who play tennis as well, although I assume that Chitose's sister is younger than Tachibana Ann.

Yukimura Seiichi's seiyuu, Nagai Sachiko, gives him a distinctly feminine voice, this together with his quiet, smiling demeanor, coupl
ed with the mystery of his play-style, makes him seem like smiling death. To be captain of a tennis club of freaks, at last count, there was a Spartan vice-captain, a demonish first-year, a 'gentleman' who plays tennis like golf, a bubblegum addict and his bald doubles partner, a 'wiseman', a trickster who thinks nothing of identity fraud..., who slap each other for losing tennis matches, I suppose you have to be pretty... Umm... Amazing? Haha. that is something of an understatement. Sighx. All Pisces people are freakyand effeminate, with Fuji and Yukimura really good examples. Then all the Libra regulars are all pretty cool, namely Tezuka, Atobe, Oshitari, Shishido, Saeki, Kurobane, Kirihara, Yayuu... Wow. From this site, found that most of the characters are all born the second half of the year. Wow. 9 in November. My birthday month.

Sighx. I simply love Atobe and the other adorable Prince Of Tennis characters. Oops, just realised that since all of them are under sixteen... I'm essentially a ... Pedophile! Oh. Ok. So? Haha. Wowie...

Switch

Its really funny how my mind is structured. I mean, I'm in the midst of my much dreaded promotional exams, yet I bought Prince of Tennis guidebook 20.5, borrowed the Best of L'Arc~en~Ciel CD from Kaen, am going shopping tomorrow, making plans for the photoshoot, watching Moon Child... In short, everything but to properly study for my exams. I suppose I'll need a minor miracle to keep my combination. Argh. So whatever I'm doing is the opposite of what I'm suppose to do. When people are having fun, I tend to whip out my Literature text to read, when people are studying like there is no tomorrow, I'm here enjoying the brief respite the lousy exam timetable my school has provided me with, instead of optimising it to study. Well, my mental make-up is a huge joke.

Hyde is a really amazing singer. One minute he sounds decidedly annoying, the next, he sounds heavenly. Forget the falsetto, I know he is suppose to be great at that, but I way prefer his normal singing voice. Sounds hotter. Haha. L'Arc~en~Ciel has a very psychedelic quality. I guess its because they were targeted at the 1990s teens, a good decade ago, but, as their music is actually rather bearable for a non-classic band, I must applaude their abaility to remain relevant.

I'm having problems with Tyki's trenchcoat (?). I guess its really too 1800s for commercial stores to stock it. Urgh. There is also the probability of melting form the heat. Why? Simple. Other than the white shirt, Ty
ki wears a black vest under the trenchcoat, with a white cravat topping it all off. Unless it rains, which will only serve to get my shoes and edges of the long pants wet, or you somehow conjure up a magical way for me to move from my house to location in full air-con and on top of that, the location of the photoshoot is also air-conditioned. Otherwise, I can forsee myself sweating buckets and soaking the entire costume. Argh. Icky. Gross. Unglamourous. Did I mention that there is also a black top hat to go with it? And that the trenchcoat and pants are also black? Another slight miracle would be the maintainence of Tyki's impeccable gentleman-ly aura when I'm hot, tired and haggard-looking. Wow. Loads of miracles need to be happening concurrently...

Kaen, I want Atobe's Mitai no Arukee. Like now! And please look for Torasoru no Torikago.

I admit that what I observed is true. While Seigaku songs are meant to be funny, endearing and plain romanticizing of each other, think Arigatou; Hyotei songs tend to be about the glory of victory, perserverance, determintaion, will power... Perfect for the cults like my school's canoe team. Yup. Except that they are much hotter in Hyotei. Serious. Anyway, Hyotei songs give you the singing-in-pouring-rain-staring-at-the-sky-maybe-crying-pulling-at-shirt kinf of feeling. I can so totally picture Atobe doing it. It fits in perfectly with his slightly suffering, misunderstood, aiming -for-greater-glory image. That, coupled with his dive attitude makes him a... misunderstood diva? Huh? Shall analyse this another day. Meanwhile, I am content to know that he is the President of the Student Council in Hyotei (duh), Libra, 1.73m, 62kg and shortens his school shirt to be able to show off his abs when he raises his arm to perform his trademark snap. I'm serious.

Okay. My fingers are sort of on strike today. Typing really very slowly. Shall leave now. Here's Kaen labour of love for all to enjoy. Quite nice if I say so myself.

Imperial

If I could fall further in love with Atobe Keigo, I would. Now I understand what it means to married couples who renew their wedding vows after a few years, I mean, I suppose its a reminder of the ignition of thier love for each other, etcetra. Anyway, Kaen passed me Insight by JunJun. Now its like ringing in my head. If there's one good thing about the music player that my brain is, it is able to keep playing the parts that I want the most, over and over again. And I remembered what exactly is so absolutely wonderful about Kei-chan, other than his attitude and values. The awesome, mind-blowing aural sin that is JunJun's voice that comes packaged with him. Kyaaah!

Oh, here are the translation of the Insight:

What do you wish for, when you've lost everything?

There is no hesitation in that heart

What do you wish to see overflowing from me?
There is no resignation reflected in these eyes of mine

Those days, which we pledged upon the rising sun
Kick aside that which supported me in battle
Insight - the shadows of the fight shall burn
As even the sweat dances in the parched sky
Passing across the distant time

My skill will reveal itself here

For the legend begins with me

What do you wish for, when all have vanished?

There is no confusion in that heart

I offer my prayers upon a silver cross

And kick away the weakness of youthful nights

Insight - it is clear, the shadows of victory

As heated breaths dampen my hair

Passing across the distant time

My genius will reveal itself here

For the truth begins with me

Those days, which we pledged upon the rising sun

Kick aside that which supported me in battle
Insight - the shadows of the fight shall burn

As even the sweat dances in the parched sky

Passing across the distant time

My skill will reveal itself here

Insight - it is clear, the shadows of victory

As heated breaths dampen my hair
Passing across the distant time

My genius will reveal itself here

For the legend begins with me

Amazing
isn't it? Sigh. Yukimura's seiyuu is also a wonderful singer. The quality is rather distinct, although I will have to listen to a few more songs of hers before I'm able to pick out ther voice anywhere, anytime when she is singing, the way I know its Okiayu or JunJun regardless of what they sing. Haha. I have sensitive ears.

Kazuki should absolutely keep his hair shorter. I saw a picture of him with short hair (shorter than his role in Kamen Rider Kabuto anyway), and he looked about 10 years younger! Really! So short hair, no matter how tempting it is to grow a mop atop your head. I had no idea that Kazuki plays tennis, although he no doubt would have to learn how to hit a ball for TeniMyu and DreamLive, but I had no idea that he well plays tennis recreationally. It must be one of the most irritating ball games on the planet, behind basketball, netball, soccer, football, rugby, floorball, hockey, volleyball... Oops. Thats a lot. Okay, I admit it, it not horrible. Just a little... not to my taste. Wait. There possibly isn't a single sport that I enjoy. Oops. So its not counted. Haha.

OMG!!!! Kei-cha
n has a PURPLE cell phone!!!! OMG!!!!! I chanced upon it at the Hyotei fansite. I have linked it, and here is a warning to all young, innocent, impressionable, naive and adorable children out there. DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT read the fanficts. It would make you bang your head against the table, screaming "MY EYES! MY EYES!". Yup. I have delivered my warning. Ignore it at your own peril. Okay.

A yummy photo of Kei-chan for those who think he isn't hot enough, or want to re-fall in love with his imperial hotness agin. Enjoy.

Freeze

Today is Mrs Serene Ng's funeral. She was my Secondary Four Form and Elementary Mathematics teacher. She died from complications during labour, leaving behind her husband, daughter and newborn baby. I thank her for her dedication to teaching and my condolences to her family. Thank you for being there in my journey, I hope you had great times in yours too.

This brings to mind the idea of Bildungsroman, life as le
arning, and the idea of a picaresque model, life as a journey, which I learnt in Literature from my very dedicated teacher. Thank you to all the people who shaped my social and academic learning. Ganshoushimasu.

On a lighter, yet equally depressing note, I sobbed away 2 hours in front of the television while watching Moon Child, a movie with both Japanese and Chinese dialogue, starring Hyde from L'arc-en-ciel, Gackt, Wang Lee Hom among others. Really touching show, amidst all the gun-slinging, mass-shooting action. About loyalty and friendship, and a greater love not of fair lips and smooth skin, but one bound by tribulations and blood. Yep. I'm sort of paraphrasing Wilfred Owen. I do study Literature you know. Sigh. The actors were not particularly handsome or physically appealing in any manner, well maybe except Kanata Hongo who was the child version of the protaganist, I mean he had this awfully winsome and innocent smile..., but they
really made me cry my poor heart out when the characters all died. It was a movie of characters. Not caricatures.

To be more positive, I shall put down things of little importance that make my sun rise and moon set.

Leys start with my ideal line-up for Prince Of Tennis:

Option 1, Kikimaru-Fuji Doubles 2, Oshitari-Gakuto Doubles 1, Sanada Singles 3, Tachibana Singles 2, Keigo-chan Singles 1.

Or,

Option 2, Sanada-Fuji Doubles 2, Keigo-Seiichi Doubles 1, "Perfect-Tennis-Guy" Singles 3, Fuji Singles 2, Tachibana Singles 1.

Kaen says that my Keigo-Seiichi pairing would win not because of their impressive tennis skills, but because they frightened their opponent to death. I agree. Its like choosing to be killed by either Apollo or Poseidon. Between a rock and a hard place. Yup. The kind of Doubles pair thats made to zap all their opponents into oblivion. Notice the absence of one arrogant 1st year squirt. Notice that they are all 3rd year students. There are too many players of impressive calibre, so I have to structure it in such a way that I won't be murdered by insulted regulars. Yup. Was thinking that a Seiichi-Fuji pair would be a mental game, no longer a tennis match, and it would be cruel to send their opponents to some psychiatric ward, so I sc
rapped the idea. I mean, the various bucchous, who ALL play Singles, would be mortally offended if mortal enemy / underclassmen aka juniors were given Singles slots so... Yup. Thats what I created. Hope it may be able to function. Hope I don't get stoned. Well, comment.

Pause

Man. Time really does really pass very quickly. I just received my Promotional Exam schedule from my Civics Rep, and well, everything is scheduled to start and end in a month's time. Imagine, thats it for this academic year! Its as if time hurtles past our windows, although when all we see are the flat plains the train seems to be crawlig its way forward inch by inch, it actually is moving really fast. How I wish I could freeze time like Miranda Lotto from D. Gray-man, okay, that is a seriously bad example, or better yet, Yukino from Gatekeepers. Hah. I highly doubt if there are many people ou there who have heard of the anime, not mentioning actually watched it. Sighx. AXN days. Good times, good times. Oh, there actually is a Gatekeepers 2, but even I have yet to watch it. Oh well. It is pretty old, some 4 years or so ago at least, and there isn't a manga, so I don't fault the lack of fans. Not like (dare I say it?), Prince of Tennis with MUSICALS and MOVIES and LIVE ACTION... Goodness. Its like there is an entire Prince Of Tennis EMPIRE out there. And I happen to be part of it. Gasp.

Anyhow. Was surfing the Internet for more Tyki pictures when I chanced upon s
ome... interesting fanart of Tyki and Tyki X Kanda. In the wrong sort of way. I truly wonder at the mental state of the artist who conceived such fabulous works of art. In fact, it has troubled me to the extent that I feel like requesting for the country of residence of the said artist, and submit, on behalf of them, the necessary application form to the nearest psychotic ward. The artist made Skin, with him penchant for candy and violence, in comparison, more suited for civilisation and society than he, or she, will ever be in this lifetime.

I want an iPod for my birthday/ Christmas Present. Either is totally alright with me. I don't need one with 8GB of memory space, 2GB or 4GB will be sufficient. urgh. And I want it to have a cover as well. No idea what colou
r I want it to be, bu tin truth, I'm okay with any colour as long as I get one. Yup. As in As Soon As Possible. I suppose I'm not really a tech-geek type of girl, but I really do like user-friendly devices. One example of what not to give me is the new Sony memory stick cum mp3 player. It is compatible ONLY with SonicStage, not one of the most user-friendly music software that I can think of. iTunes has a cleaner structure. I'm not saying I'm an Apple fan or anything, I found the iPhone an ugly, useless, complex, irritating waste of research, but I admit that I like things to be simple, efficient and effective. So there.

Was reading fanficts (again), and I realised that most of the Tyki fics are rather stereotypical in nature. I mean, its either Tyki X Lavi, Tyki X Kanda or Tyki X Komui, and he is always the evil sexual pervert harassing the poor Exorcists, or the passionate Noah caught between his true love, often yaoi in nature, and his mission. Yadda yadda yadda. Gosh. Why can't someone write something with more content? I mean, there are okay, even amusing fics of other anime available. One super good example would be Starting Over and some others that I can't fin
d again ( I'm sorry for not adding them to my favourites, really I am.).

Okay. This is becoming something of a bad habit. I am blogging far too late to not get into trouble with my mom. Its as if she doesn't realise that there is no other possible time slot available to me. Yeah. And I agree. Those Civics and Moral Education lessons that they made us sit through all the way until I was 16 totally did not leave ANY significant impact on me. All it taught me was that I could slack and do other stuff during. what a waste of time.

Okay, as part of my determination to include pictures in all my posts from now on... here is a spoiler for all the D. Gray-Man fans out there who are still stuck in the beginning. No explanations so that you can pretend that you never saw it. Haha. Self delusion, my dears, is so not going to work.

Sorry

Okie. I apologise for my unexplained hiatus from blogging. I know, I know, I'm an irritating person because I keep everyone hanging in the air. All the time. Okie. So I apologise. I promise that I will put in more effort into maintaining this blog. Sheesh.

Its the September holidays, I know its super obvious, and I have yet to complete even half the amount of work allocated to me, not to mention to start on my revision. And I was cocky enough to want to score minimum of straight Cs in the Promotional Exam. Looks like I seriously have to start working harder and smarter to make my dream come through. Interestingly enough, it also applies to my decision to make my weight decrease to 51kg, tops. A lot of resolutions, all which I hardly ever keep. Sighx. And there is no way that I am revealing my real weight online. EVER.

My current anime craze is now D. Gray-Man. Specifically, Earl Tyki Mikk (or however you wish to romanize his glorious name). Lets see if I can get a picture of his drool-worthy countenance for all the poor uninitiated rabbits out there. Tyki is seriously damn cool. His weapon are butterflies. Called Teasers. Yup. Organ-eating, blood-thirsty, delicate little purple butterflies. Yup. Amazing, isn't it?. I wish he could lend me a few. Kill a couple of irritating people for me... slowly... painfully. Topping the list is the person who came up with the ridiculous idea of PW and my brother. Yup. LOOng story. Shall not elaborate. I totally adore the black version of Tyki. As in A-D-O-R-E. In a way, SOMEONE mentioned that he is rather similar to SOMEBODY. I guess, quoting Tyki's apt saying... The fun is in having BOTH the black and white versions. I simply can't resist his whatever-anything-attitude packaged in an impeccable tuxedo. Absolutely. Irresistible. So nice and yummy and... Now why can't I have an older brother like that? Or better yet... Tee hee. And his hair is a complete and utter materialisation of his attitude. So awesome. Sighx.

Oh. His seiyuu is also one of the 'big boys' in the seiyuu community. Tyki, voiced by Toshiyuki Morikawa, shares the same voice as Naraku from Inuyasha, Seiichirou Tatsumi from Yami no Mitsuei, Dante in Devil May Cry, Sephiroth in FF VII Advent Children and Last Order, is Hideaki Nakajima in Gakuen Heaven, the super cool Nue ( Minamoto no Yorihisa's childhood 'playmate' ) in Harukanaru Toki no Naka de, Cesario in Kiddy Grade (although he hardly talks, what a waste right? ), Conrad in Kyou Kara Maoh!, Takumi in NANA, Gale Glory in Rave Master, Homura in Gensoumaiden Saiyuki, and loads of other characters...
Did anyone notice that his 'bloodlust' version looks strangely familiar?...

Hmm. Feel like applying to an overseas university. Singapore is too boring an academic arena. But where shall I go? And what shall I choose to study? Anyone with suggestions or answers are more then welcome to leave a note. Then there is obviously the cost of living, tuition fees, transportation... In short, unless I somehow manage to obtain a scholarship, there is no way that I will ever be able to apply for any university outside Singapore. Sheesh. Talk about dashed hopes.
OMG. Just realised that the Noah family, in D. Gray-Man duh, is something of an example of a dysfunctional, yet, starngely, still functional 'family'. I mean the Earl is well, the Millenium Earl still. Tyki is the big brother, Road is the little sisiter, the baby of the family, Skin is the violent and psychotic cousin, Jasdero and Debitto are the crazy psychotic twins, Lulubell is the family pet... And there you have it. A perfect example of order within chaos. Haha. I guess I'm so tired that I'm going crazy too.
Kk. Shall go to bed now...

Waiting

I love the airport. Really. I guess its one of those places which are in between, like you're neither here nor there, and is a little romantic like. My dad says its because I'm a wee little frog in a wee little well that has hardly travelled, because you get bored of the place real quick. Whatever. It would be a sad time indeed if you get bored of the things that make an experience truly enriching, and is wearied so far that you no longer appreciate the things that you had once loved. I guess Man is easily bored my the constant, and easily distracted by the novel. Sigh. Yet we pursue consistency, complain if there are too many changes, whilst wishing for refrershing, amusing new toys. Ah. The ultimate human paradox. Departing...

Cost

I think the Internet and the computer is some sort of curse on Mankind. Honest. Teachers seem to have forgotten that travelling takes time even in teeny Singapore, and that we all have a laptop with perfectly good Internet connection. Why else would they assign us so much work to be completed as a Word document? The most irritating of all ought to be Project work, where every icky piece of graded assignment and research material has to be typewritten. I understand that typed assignments are way easier to grade, but have they considered how much trouble they cause the students? All the formatting, the tinkering with the words, resizing, the actual typing... If I wanted to write an essay, I could do it anywhere, at anytime, as long as I have stationary, yet, if they want it printed out, electricity, printer ink... Its just a whole lot of nitty gritty details which make computer documents a bane of school existence.

Was originally considering cosplaying for the College's Open Day. However, due to the lack of participants, the tight schedule, the ridiculous idea of of scripting a skit of Alternate Universe, the sheer difficulty of getting 6 costumes, the lack of experience by those involved... I doubt the show can go on. So now I'm hovering between duty and laziness, at the same time contemplating cosplaying at the end of the year, if I'm not in China for the immersion programme, MAR. Yup. Not sure who to do. I don't really want to wear contacts. Its either Candice the Knight from Chess No Koma or Aqua, also a Chess. Not much of a choice. Candice would be more fun, although it pretty... Umm... revealing, while Aqua is modest enough to make me look like a tent. I'm not really the cutesy kind, and I'm not too bimbotic, so I have no idea how to behave in a convincing manner. Urgh. Although I must admit that I like Candice's beret and eye patch. How am I suppose to get the boots, gloves, and the one sided stockings? I hope can find in Hong Kong some of these, at lower prices. I suppose I could tailor the costume, but it would definitely cost a small fortune.

Well. Back to work on GP VA.

Sudden successive flights of bullets streak the silence...

Gallery

I'm finally back after a week long hiatus, in order to upload those little things called photos. Indeed, I have been bugged by a total of 7 people, all eagerly anticipating something interesting, unique, amazing, funny, raunchy... Well. I don't want to disappoint, but I shall only upload 'safe' and BORING photos. Yup. Nothing too... special, or I'll most probably be yelled at left, right and centre. In case anyone out there STILL feel that its too provocative, please contact me via Kaen at her tagboard at either her Seigaku Blog or Hyotei blog, whichever you prefer. Of course the photos are not all completely yours, so it would be good manners to ASK before you RIP them all wouldn't it? I would love it if you left a comment with your contact details, especially if I do not have your handphone number. Thank you.

And these are the non- Prince Of Tennis related photos:

My bag view...

As the photos clearly show, I met my doubles partner, Gakuto, at Cosfest. Stunning personality. Then there was Kurei from Rekka No Honoo, *faints*, as well as several other characters, such as Tamaki from Ouran High. Loads of people, had loads of fun. Jacq jie jie was taking photos to help her friend as the booths, and our Prince Of Tennis team took a whole multitude, there is even the possibility of us appearing on a magazine! Wow. Not bad for my first Cosfest. Anyway, I found out that Inui is also in NJ, although in IP so we don't have a single class together. In a bid to spice up College life, the way Mrs Cheng would say it, I'll most probably be cosplaying on NJ's Open Day in August. I'll update the actual date soon, although meanwhile, I need to get some costume. There is no way that anyone could make me do Oshitari in NJ, because the weatehr is too hot to wear three layers of clothing while hiking up and down stairs. No bloody way. My group of friends want to do Gothic Lolita, so maybe thats what I'll do, although I doubt it would be any less cooling. Will see about it, as I have to dance on open Day...

My CT results has proved to be extremely extreme. There are subjects where I'm in the top 2 percent of my cohort, and those that I'm in the bottom 10 percent. Wowie. Homework is piling to the moon, and yet, here I am blogging instead of completing, say, my 100 plus Math Integration questions. The opportunity cost is rather high. This coupled with dance first thing tomorrow morning, and then there is Math tuition in the afternoon. I'll most probably head home after that to rush even more work... My life now revolves around my assignments and when my body collapses onto my bed. Serious. I really want all the exams to be over soon. Need a DDSS if I want to continue J2 life they way I want to. unfortunately, I have yet to obtain this target for CT. Sighx. Will work both smarter and harder.

We have fallen in the dreams of the ever-living/ Breathe on the tarnished mirror of the world,/ And then smooth out with ivory hands and sigh. ~ W.B. Yeats

Temporal

There is cause for celebration. Truly. I'm not putting this down to sound prissy or anything, but its been a pretty good week for me. I know, I know. I was complaining previously, and then with this week being 'withdrawal' week and results week, how can it possibly be any good? Ahhh. It all relies on the delicate art of making myself happy. Indeed, I agree its an artform oft neglected in this day and age, but it does bring pleasure, no matter how temporal it is. The art of being happy... is to study hard. Serious. So that when everyone else feels the pain from wounds caused by the mulititudes of zeros slashed by the red pen in the hands of your teachers, you are able to bask in the glory of red laurels... Okay. That was a seriously perculiar kind of imagery. What I want to say is that I did pretty well for my first Common Test. Well, at this point of time anyway. I scored a B for General Paper, and Mr W actually commended my essay and writing style in front of the class. How rare is that? He's usually mocking and taunting, so this compliment would have made most people blushed vermillion, except that I can't blush. At all. Really. Than there was the 41 marks S grade for Mathematics, after the 2 mark moderation, which is way better than the U grade of 25 marks that I thought I would obtain. Of course there are about 4 more papers to collect, but what matters most is that I have yet to let myself down.

Huifang is thinking of dropping H2 Maths. I am totally against the idea. I believe in perservering right to the very end. Of course, you ought to be aware of you own limits, but you should never give up without a really good reason. I think that she can do way better as long as she tries harder AND smarter. I can tell that she's very hardworking, but there's no point if she's going about it in the wrong manner. Well, I sincerely hope that she would reconsider.

My bruises are more or less gone. Yay! Realised that I can distribute my weight evenly over a larger surface area of my knee to reduce the severity of the injury. Need to take care of my body. After all, I'm going to be stuck with it for a good half a century more. The dance seems to be getting more perform-able. I guess its all the practices. Its only two practices away though. Wendy is really amazing. I have to hand it to her, to choreograph the entire thing. Tomorrow is the interview. Not that nervous. Guess I sort of have the premonition that I won't get too far. Well, never mind. Zhiying wants to quit. She feels that she's not good enough to dance, although I disagree. I mean, I sacrificed my dance opportunities at the expectations of others, so when I meet people who do not treasure what they have... Its so disappointing. worse than anger, than hatred. Disappointment.

Jacq jie jie says that she would be going for Cosfest! Shoot! Now I feel self-concious! Argh! Kaen! What on earth is Oshitari like?!

With hands held high into the sky so bloody...
